Bad quotes from Yahoo?
« on: April 15, 2011, 01:43:38 pm »
Anybody else who is experience wrong quotes when updating from Yahoo finance? The last 2-3 weeks I see that Open and High price is completely wrong for most of my stock quotes, (Norway and Sweden). The Close price is correct all the time. What about the US market, if anyone use that in your trading? I don't.

Hello joeoil

Yes this happens quite frequently with yahoo data. I guess it's so people don't use it instead of paid services.

I'm new to the forum and just came across this posting. I've seen the same problem from many sources, both paid and free. My intent--not done yet--is to develop a polling routine that compares data from multiple sources and uses the data from the source that's matches the majority of the other sources. Best 3 out of 5 sources or best 2 out of 3 sources. It may be overkill, but it's the only way I can come up with that provides a high level of confidence in the data.
