Amibroker and Interactive Brokers
« on: January 19, 2011, 04:22:15 pm »

I was thinking of starting trading the US stock market, stock's and ETF's, and would like some information from other people using Amibroker and Interactive Brokers.

Pros and cons.

1. Is it free to download data/quotes into Amibroker, (like Yahoo), or do we have to open an account to IB to get free data/quotes?

2. Is it free real-time quotes?

3. How about commissions and fees pr trade compared to other broker's when trading the US market? Any monthly or annual fees?

4. Is support good/bad?

5. What is the best TWS solutions from Browser Based or Standalone version? I have broadband (5 Mbyte) internet connection.

I do not daytrade, my trades is held for 2-14 days, mostly.
